Before he had even turned 17, Zidane broke through into the Cannes first team and during the 1990/91 season, he was already a part of the established eleven that failed to beat the drop at the end of the following campaign. After the team’s relegation, ‘Zizou’ signed for Bordeaux so he could continue to deploy his talents at the highest level.
Before long, Zidane was playing a starring role for Les Girondins and enjoyed his first taste of success during the 1995/96 season when Bordeaux reached the UEFA Cup Final. Although his side lost the match to Bayern Munich, it was his exploits at Bordeaux that confirmed Zizou’s status as a worthy successor to France’s legendary midfielder Michel Platini, whom he had incidentally encountered at first hand while serving as a ball boy at the 1984 UEFA European Championship.
Offered his first cap in 1994, the international debut of the kid from Marseilles could scarcely have been more emphatic: After coming on with les Bleus trailing the Czech Republic 2-0, the gifted Zizou turned the course of the match single-handedly by scoring twice.
But his full blossoming as an international took place during the 1995/96 season, which was followed by the European Championship in England. At the tournament, Aime Jacquet showed great faith in the Bordeaux player who, like the former national coach himself, was clearly endowed with the two key qualities that make a good player: excellent technique and unwavering determination.

In the summer of 1996, he finally settled on Juventus of Italy, picking up his first silverware with his new club the same season when ‘the Old Lady’ defeated Argentine outfit River Plate to lift the Intercontinental Cup.

eh oui, malheureusement l'histoire ne retient que les résultats. Peu importe la beauté du jeu surtout lorsqu'elle ne marche pas avec la victoire. Je préfère une équipe qui gagne. Je ne pense pas avoir lu ici que Domenech est un grand entraineur, mais j'ai du lire qu'il a fait un bon coaching. Et en plus si toi tu ne crois pas en cette équipe, ce n'est pas vrai pour tout le monde.Ce n'est que ton point de vue qui ne devrait pas s'imposer aux autres. Je le respecte d'ailleurs mais je dis bien que le Brésil a du souci à se faire comme l'a annoncé JB.

es ce surprenant qu'apres une victoire,ceux qui l'ont emporté traitent les autres de tous les noms d'oiseaux?pour ma part je suis persuadé que chacun a son tour chez le coiffeur.cette equipe de france sans âme,moribonde depuis le debut du tournoi,avec un coach qui n'a pas toujours fait les choix qu'il fallait,se met tout d'un coup a rever d'une victoire finale.comment passer d'un pessimiste a une pareille euphorie?c'est dire l'exploit qu'il a été realisé face aux espagnols.a vrai dire personne ne croyait a cette equipe de france,bien sur apres match chacun ira de son analyse.mais la réalite finit toujours par nous rattrapper.la france l'a joué profil bas,et se met du coup a rever,hors c'est exactement a ce moment que viendra la desillusion.Zidane est devenu la star mondiale,domenech le meilleur coach et j'en passe,tout est oublié,seul la victoire est belle.je ne ferais aucun commentaire face au prochain match des bleus,mais j'attendrais avec impatience les commenctaires si d'aventure la france venait a trebucher.LE MENSONGE N'A PAS DE LONGUES JAMBES.

PERSONNE NE DIT QUE LES ESPAGNOLS SONT NAIFS alors qu'ils ont pris deux buts en jouant la ligne et un sur coup de pied arrêté en oubliant le marquage sur Viera !

S'il y a un joueur qui simule le moins possible au Foot dans ce monde, c'est bien Henry. En foot il y a la notion de comportement antisportif qui sanctionne un joueur qui, parce qu'il est battu empeche un autre de se rapprocher du ballon et hier ce joueur espagnol a accompagne cela d'une faute que les deux arbitres assistant et central ont vu et qu,on ne pouvait pas facilement voir depuis la TV. Ce n'est pas facile d'arbitrer et ce n'est ni sur ce match, ni sur cette competition, ni cette annee que les erreurs d'arbitrage(qui plus est sont humaines) ont commence ou meme s'arreteront. Au match contre la Suisse Vieira a ete ceinture en pleine surface, rien. Il a frappe et un suisse a mis la main, toujours rien. M_e_r_d_e allez pleurer dehors.
