Your observations are factual however what the report won't say is that with a few exceptions, most African countries have the worse economic fundamentals ever. Some of the culprits include ethnic polarization, political instability, bureaucracy/lack of accountability and recently Terrorism.
Relative to the rich countries of the world, Africa is both labor and resource abundant, factors that should contribute to a relatively high marginal product of capital and make the continent a particularly attractive destination for international
capital flows but yet, this is not observed to happen
to a significant extent... ever read about the Lucas Paradox?
This country Cameroon I came back to has many challenges, in my case we are always concerned about theft of our ideas, and even when our business plans was drafted to be presented to BICEC Cameroon in pursuit of financing it was only 50 percent complete, in case they were stolen..
