Shels racist abuse to be probed

Shelbourne boss Pat Fenlon said the abuse was "unacceptable"
UEFA will investigate racist abuse directed at two Shelbourne players in the Champions League qualifier away to Steaua Bucharest.

Curtis Fleming, a former Republic of Ireland international and Cameroonian Joseph Ndo suffered racist chanting at the hands of the Romanian supporters.

Shelbourne lost 4-1 on Wednesday night after a 0-0 draw in the first leg.

UEFA have confirmed their delegate at the match reported the abuse and Steaua will face disciplinary action.

Officials from Europe's governing body are set to discuss the issue at a meeting on August 18.

Shelbourne manager Pat Fenlon said: "The one disappointing thing is that we have two black players on the field and they got abuse. It was unacceptable."
Merci de patienter...
