The Whiteman put us in slavery and colonization but the Whiteman left a long time ago and we still are scared of them. let me ask you guys a question, when you arrive at the airport in Cameroon or when you are leaving Cameroon who gets treated better, the Cameroonian or the foreigner. the foreigner of course. We treat foreigners better. We let them enter the country without forming a line and nobody ask them anything. They are treated like gods, especially the Whiteman. It is our culture to be receptive and adoring of the Whiteman, whereas we go to the same schools and actually do better than them in those schools.
Anywhere else in the world, if you are a guest you are treated like an outcast. They feel Like you are coming to steal from them and they let you know you are a stranger. In Cameroon we are very receptive and this characteristic has been exploited by the Whiteman enormously. In the US if you are a foreigner you will be made to know, you don't belong there. It is an attitude we need to have to start taking care of what is Cameroonian. Give credence to our own institutions of learning instead of favoring what obtains abroad. Make sure those appointed into positions of influence attended our institutions and have our values instead of valorizing only those who study abroad.
Merci de patienter...
