Portsmouth have signed Arsenal defender Lauren for an undisclosed fee, reports Pompey's website.
The Cameroon international joins for two-and-a-half years after six seasons with the Gunners.
"Lauren is an outstanding player," said manager Harry Redknapp. "He is a great athlete and professional, very strong and quick too.
"He will be a tremendous asset to us. He is extremely versatile and can play in a number of different positions at the back and in midfield."
Lauren was just as forthcoming with praise for the south coast club.
"This is a great move for me. Portsmouth are having a great season and are pushing for a place in Europe.
"I have been very impressed with the club's plans for the future both on and off the pitch."
Lauren will go straight into the squad for Portsmouth's home match against Charlton on Saturday.
