Sasol Eight Nations resumes on Friday

Five goals were scored in two Sasol 8 Nations group matches at a chilly and noisy Eldorado Park Stadium on Wednesday afternoon while at the Johannesburg Stadium the few fans who braved the icy weather saw no goals.
Two of the teams who started their campaign there return to the cold grounds to battle with Egypt and China who drew 0-0 in their respective games at the Johannesburg Stadium.

Lesotho, who lost 3-1 to Ghana in their Group B game at the Eldorado Park Stadium still have hope of making it to the next round. They face Egypt who shared a point with Ivory Coast on Wednesday.

Botswana, who beat Cameroon 1-0 in a tense Group A clash - which also took place in Eldorado Park - can qualify for the second round if they beat China who held South Africa to a 0-0 draw in their first game.

The boys from Botswana were nimble and quick compared to the towering Cameroonians, and what they lacked in size they made up for in fighting spirit.

The Group B leaders Ghana take on Ivory Coast in Soweto at the Meadowlands Stadium. This game will be followed by an interesting clash between Cameroon and South Africa.

The Olympic Lions have to win if they have any hope of making it to the next round while the hosts will have to up their tempo too as a loss or even a draw could see them exit the competition early.
