Fellow proud Cameroonians!
As a nationalist with un-ending love for my country i follow the debate on the subject Eto-Wome with much interest. But one thing bugs me and that is we often persecute our heroes and thereby throwing them to the wolves out there to devour.
My good people it is Wome’s right to decline a fatherlands call but let’s not make a mountain of a simple hill. Without sounding like a cliché Eto is the one point of light in our miserable existence, does it matter that the guy didn’t attain university education. Let us give to Caesar what is Caesar’s.
As a Cameroonian, I am proud of two individual flag bearers of our nation; Eto and Richard Bona.
Please let’s use this forum to debate ways on how to extract our beloved national team from the grips of the corrupt clique of football officials. As an old adage goes, ‘Sometimes if a child is naughty, it is often wise to find the cause with its parents’.
Long live ‘The Free and Democratic republic of Cameroon’
