Two Shels men nominated for the players' Player of the Year

Eircom Premier champions Shelbourne have had two of their title-winning squad nominated for the Irish Players' Player of the Year Award.

Cameroon World Cup star Joseph N'Do becomes the first non-Irishman to be nominated for the award, along with colleague Ollie Cahill.

Title runners-up Derry City have Gary Beckett and Ciaran Martyn in contention along with Cork City's Joe Gamble and Drogheda United's Jason Gavin.

Meanwhile, Shels, Derry, and Cork provide all eleven members of Team of the Year.

Shels and Derry supply four players each to the Team of the Year - Owen Heary, N'Do, Cahill and Jason Byrne for Shels; David Forde, Darren Kelly, Martyn and Beckett for the Candystripes.

Cork City's trio are Alan Bennett, Danny Murphy and Gamble.

Champions Shamrock Rovers have two players forward for First Division Player of the Year, Barry Murphy and Aidan price, along with Dundalk's Philip Hughes.
