KICK OFF has exclusively found out that arrangements have reached an advanced stage for the Super Eagles to take on dreaded rivals Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in a friendly match in England next month.
The match has been fixed for November 15, which is a 'FIFA friendly day'. It has already received the full blessing of the NFA board when they met last week in Abuja.
It will be the first FIFA friendly day the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) will take advantage of this year.
The last time the two teams clashed was at the 2004 African Nations Cup in Monastir, Tunisia, with the Eagles flying past the Lions 2-1 to qualify for the semi finals of the tournament.
The Eagles are not expected back in competitive action till March next year when they host the Cranes of Uganda in a 2008 Nations Cup qualifier.
