Eto'o breaks through the defence
One of the main similarities between all three of Barça's league victories this season is that they have all seen Samuel Eto'o score the first goal as he proves that he is an expert at breaking down defences.
Having one of the best strikers in the world, who is lethal and lively, gives belief to the entire team as they start any game knowing that he can do so much damage up front. That is what FC Barcelona have in Eto'o. The former Mallorca striker has shown that in all three league matches this term. Three played, three wins and goals in every match from the free-scoring forward. It is the statistics that are most astonishing as Eto'o has scored the opening goal for Barcelona on 29 occasions since he joined the Blaugrana. He is the perfect figure to have up front and it appears that he never becomes weary of scoring or winning.

Eto'o has no respect for the level of the opposition as he has scored goals against AC Milan in Camp Nou and against Real Madrid in El Santaigo Bernabéu. In ihs first season at Barça, he scored first in 14 matches. Ten of those finished with a win, three as draws and one defeat. One of those goals was against Levante and secured the team that they needed to earn Frank Rijkaard's side the first league title under the Dutch coach.
As wel as his league goals, he has also broken the deadlock twice in the Champions League as he scored the first goal against AC Milan and also against Celtic as well as netting first against Real Betis in the Spanish Super Cup. Of these games, the first was won, the second drawn and the third ended in defeat.
