Yesterday, Barcelona and Cameroon superstar Samuel Eto’o was held up for one hour at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
He was held up due to visa complications and KFF boss Dan Omino had to intervene. But this is a tip of the iceberg compared to what Kenyans go through in Yaounde.
Cameroon has some of the most un-professional immigration officials. Only recently, a Kenyan citizen but of British origin had been jailed twice on the basis that he’s a European with a Kenyan passport. Mr. James Shepherd who works for Socfinaf had gone to the country on company business, but had to contend with Cameroonian jails twice over minor technicalities.
