Eto'o warns Barcelona colleagues

Eto'o is the top scorer in Spain
Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o has urged his Barcelona colleagues not to lose focus ahead of Saturday's game against Real Madrid.
Eto'o's side have an 11-point lead in the Spanish championship but the reigning African Footballer of the Year expects their arch-rivals to put up a fight at the Nou Camp.

Madrid is keen to turn the tables on Barcelona, after losing 3-0 to the reigning champions earlier in the season.

"When Madrid has a good night it can score five easily, although if we play as we know how, we are unbeatable," Eto'o told sports daily Mundo Deportivo on Thursday.

Madrid are hoping to take advantage of Barcelona's dip in form, after they failed to score against Benfica in Tuesday's opening leg of their Uefa Champions League quarter-final, which ended 0-0.

But Eto'o said Barcelona must put aside that disappointment and concentrate on the task at hand.

"That game shouldn't affect us. One of the most important things for a player is to be able to forget about the previous game," Eto'o said.

The Cameroonian, who has scored 22 goals for the champions, is the leading candidate to pick up the Pichichi - the award for the top scorer in the league.

In a separate development, Eto has been ranked as one of the four most commercially viable footballers in the world.

Rated behind Ronaldinho, David Beckham and Wayne Rooney by consultancy firm BBDO Germany, Eto'o's off-field value is estimated at US$36 million.
Merci de patienter...
