Chelsea's Drogba: I'll show up Eto'o
tribalfootball.com - February 20, 2006
Chelsea star Didier Drogba has rapped Samuel Eto'o ahead of Barcelona's arrival for this week's big Champions League showdown.
Drogba said: "I outdid Eto'o in the African Nations Cup and now I want to do it again against Barca - my dream is Champions League glory.
"It's not just about me and Eto'o because there are so many good players on both sides.
"But every time I play against Samuel I just seem to come out on top.
"It could be that he is starting to feel afraid every time he sees me opposite him on a football pitch.
"At this moment I feel I am the king of African football."
Drogba, who fired Ivory Coast to the African Nations final where they only lost on penalties to hosts Egypt, is sure Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho won't dare leave him out of the Barcelona showdown.
He added: "I am not worried about losing my place in the Chelsea team to Hernan Crespo, despite the fact that he has been scoring goals since I have been away.
"It shouldn't be a surprise to anybody - he is just doing his job. I think Crespo and I could play together successfully."
