Wolves are in talks with Manchester City about signing Cameroon international midfielder Lucien Mettomo.
Manager Dave Jones is trying to make an eighth summer signing this week and Mettomo, who has only started 20 games in two seasons at City, is a target.
Wolves have failed to sign another Cameroon midfielder, Modeste M'Bami, this summer and are refusing to get carried away by prospect of signing Mettomo.
'We're still talking to City and I wouldn't say it's cut and dried,' chief executive Jez Moxey told the Express and Star.
