Ndolo Melo, writes a poem about the killing of the four-month old baby in Muyuka by the military:
The sun up in the sky
The stomach hungering for food
The thirst in the throat
Voices of a strange language in my house
Trembling of fear
My heart filled with pains
My helpless 4 months old child in the lion's den
Innocent and ignorant
The zipping bullet in a miniature is the sound it cracks the head of the innocent soul
Lost in the mist of belonging
Seccessionist or military
Tears rolling down my chin
Yes, I am homeless in my homeland
THE VOICE OF A MISERABLE MOTHER
