Cameroon’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Michel Tommo Monthé, sent a letter on 22 April to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
In this correspondence, Ambassador Michel Tommo Monthé “summarizes the commitments and concrete measures taken by the government to achieve calm and dialogue regarding the socio-political situation in Cameroon and particularly that of prevailing in the North West and South West regions, “reveals the bilingual national newspaper Cameroon Tribune in its edition of Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
The Permanent Representative of Cameroon recalls in his correspondence that “during his swearing on 6 November 2018, the head of state, Paul Biya at the top of the concerns of his compatriots, then made the commitment to operate two main levers: working to return to peace and accelerate the process of decentralization.
