Pericard loaned to Blades
Portsmouth's Vincent Pericard has joined Championship pacesetters Sheffield United on a three-month loan deal.
The 22-year-old French striker joined Pompey on loan in 2002 and scored 12 goals as they were promoted to the Premiership but has fallen out of favour at Fratton Park after injury problems.
Blades boss Neil Warnock told his club's official website: "I really am very pleased because Vincent has always been one of my main targets but he wasn't available because he wanted to break through again with his club.
"It was disappointing at the time but I kept pestering him and I suppose my patience has been rewarded. If things go well during his stay then we could be looking at a permanent deal."
