FC Barcelona and English Premiership side Portsmouth FC have agreed terms for the transfer of 18-year-old youth team player Frank Steve Songo'o for 300,000 euros plus a variable quantity.
Songo'o, who has been playing pre-season football with Barcelona C in the Fourth Division, will play for Portsmouth next season. The Hampshire side will pay a 300,000 euro fee for the Cameroonian player, as well as a minimum of 300,000 euros depending on the number of Premier League games he plays. FC Barcelona also keep 20% of the rights of any further transfer.
Born in Yaounde, Cameroon, on May 14, 1987, the forward, who has dual French nationality, came to Barça in 2001 from Orillamar in La Coruña. Since then, he has been a regular in different FC Barcelona youth teams.
Last season he played for the Under 18s under Juan Carlos Pérez Rojo, winning a historic triple of League, Cup and Champions Cup.
