Hibs have handed trials to former Cameroon international defender Michel Pensee Bilong.
The 32-year-old is a free agent after leaving MK Dons last season and played in Hibs' 4-1 win at Berwick Rangers on Tuesday night.
Bilong won more than 30 caps and was in the Cameroon World Cup squad in France in 1998.
Polish goalkeeper Zbigniew Malkowski, who turned out for the club in two of the pre-season tour games in Ireland last week, has already signed a two-year deal.
Hibs boss Tony Mowbray said: "Michel played against Berwick and he did fine for us.
"He will stay with us for the rest of the week and we will continue to assess him and have a chat with him after the weekend.
"We only have room to sign one more player and at the moment we are looking at Michel.
"We want to make sure we are signing someone who brings attributes to the team."
