I will be running for the President of Fecafoot in the coming elections.
I have realized that those who have been leading Fecafoot have failed us. When I am elected president I will Cameroonise our game again. The head coach will be a Cameroonian because it is a fact that no foreign coach has ever won a world cup and the goal of every nation is to win the WC. Secondly, the foreign coaches we have had have not done any better than the local coaches and trust me we have had them for a while. They are very expensive and don't live in Cameroon.
Additionally, I am tired of this complex towards the west or the Whiteman where our leaders always think anything white is better. It is a colonial mentality that needs to be purged from our system. A country in which those who build our roads, bridges, homes etc are westerners. When are we going to get rich if we give all our money to westerners. Those who are appointed to higher position must have schooled in the west in clear dereliction of our own institutions. What is wrong with Cameroon. I intend to change this and institute a culture of Cameroon first.
Secondly, I intend to create a soccer channel owned and operated by Fecafoot. This will air our local league games, play back past games and focus on the game in Cameroon. I was just in Cameroon and noticed that people don't pay attention to the local league but watch only BPL, La liga and League One. How do we grow as a nation if all we see on TV are white folks. It remains in our subconscious that these people are better than us and this needs to change. I will carry out a marketing campaign unseen before to change the minds and the game in Cameroon.
I will build all the various leagues in Cameroon, starting with the corpo and veteran leagues, OSSUCS, junior leagues and senior leagues and the female championships.
Thirdly, Tombi got this from me but I will do this on a smaller scale . I will build parks all over the country in collaboration with the city councils and sponsor holiday championships all over the country to keep the young ones busy during the summer holidays. I am hoping that we are going to be having good stadiums by the end of Tombi's term.
Fourthly, I will introduce a dress code to our league players so the little kids can look up to them. They have to be properly attired and dress in suits before and after games especially during press conferences.
