Johannesburg - Cameroon international midfielder, Alexandre Song, is reportedly set to inform Barclays Premier League side, West Ham United of his desire to play in next month's Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
West Ham could now play their Premier League matches against Swansea City, Hull City, Livepool and Manchester United during the period of the AFCON without Song except they make a special request to the Cameroon FA to keep the midfielder for the games against Swansea and Everton in the Cup.
Song has played 11 of West Ham's 17 Premier League games this season, winning 25 tackles and blocking three shots
