If all goes well then Eto'o will sign on as an Everton player on Wednesday. It would be an interesting signing for Everton but a short term option to adding more strength in depth for strikers. Romelu Lukaku is undoubtedly first choice and there had been talk of Danny Welbeck moving from Manchester United.
Eto'o may not be the most exciting addition, especially long term wise, but he'd do a job and help Roberto Martinez add to his squad without having to pay a transfer fee. The striker scored 9 goals for Chelsea last season in 21 Premier League games.
