No Boro return for me: Geremi
Geremi has admitted he will not be a Middlesbrough player next year.
The Cameroon international midfielder impressed on a season-long loan at the Riverside and Boro boss Steve McClaren was keen to sign him permanently.
But Spanish champions Real Madrid were holding out for £9.6 million for the 24-year-old.
And with Boro refusing to meet the asking price, Geremi, who has also been linked with Manchester United, expects to be back at the Bernabeu next year.
'It's clear-cut, I am going back to Madrid,' he said. 'They are my club and I have to respect their wishes.
'It's out of my hands, but as things stand I will not be playing for Middlesbrough next season.'
