On Thursday July 3, in Niamey, Samuel Eto'o Fils visited the Municipal Stadium in Niamey, where he watched an exhibition game between players of Mena Cadets. The Indomitable Lions’ Captain was invited to Niger by the Niger Minister of State, Minister of Mines and Industrial Development, Omar Hamidou Tchiana, local reports said.
Eto’o kicked-off the match which was also watched by Niger Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Abdulkarim Dan Mallam, the Governor of the Niamey region and the chairman of the City Council of Niamey.
On Friday July 4, Eto’o Fils accompanied Mr Tchiana to hand over a large amount of food including five tons of maize, millet, and rice each to some disabled people in Koira Tegui. The ceremony took place in the presence of the President of the City Council of Niamey and several guests.
The fact that Eto’o took all his family to Niger suggests that the Cameroon international intended not only to carry out humanitarian activities in Niger but also spend quality time with his family that appears to be united and happy despite the Eto’o-Nathalie saga witnessing new revelations almost each passing day.
