When the Lions win, it’s ntong, it’s the confluence of many favorable events. When we lose, well, it was and should be fairly expected. Why? Because of our so-called “talent dearthâ€. Talking about the 1990 squad for which, you have such high regard, should you be reminded of the fact that they were classified as under-average? Compared to today’s team, we can fairly say there is at least a decent amount of professional players performing well in their respective teams (Eto’o, Aboubakar, Matip, Mbia). In 1990, Milla was a retired player going against amateurs in a far island called Ile de la Reunion, Kunde, Mbouh, Jules Denis Onana, or Massing, obscure local players of the national league.
So, stick to analyzing weaknesses and strengths of the current national side, be balanced in your judgment, and avoid insulting our IQ’s.
