Team will play Union Douala on Saturday
The Warri Wolves arrived Douala on Thursday afternoon in readiness for their clash with Union Douala Football Club on Saturday.
The team, led by administrators Emeka Inyama and Davidson Owumi, were welcomed by officials of Cameroon’s football federation and were ushered to a hotel, a statement by Moses Etu, the media officer of the team said. However, team officials said they were shocked to discover that the hotel, Akena City Hotel, situated in Akwa area, Commercial Avenue, Douala, had no water and the beds were deemed too small for an adult to sleep on.
The president of the host team, Frank Happy, also reportedly expressed his disappointment with the hotel arrangement but claimed it was the FA that provided the accommodation and there was nothing he could do about it.
The players who travelled with the team include Okiemut Odah, Ambrose Vanzekin, Goodluck Onamado, Ike ThankGod, Ojo Mine, Oke Ogagotewho, Uche Ossai, Egbeta Michael, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu, Musa Najare and Achibi Ewenike. Others are Oghenekaro Etebo, Dimgba Stanley, Joshua Obaje, Efe Yarhere, Bright Akpojuvwewo and Kola Anubi.
Speaking on the antics of the host federation, Mr. Owumi urged the players to remain focused and battle ready.
“I am used to this type of antics but we should not allow this to distract us as we are here
