Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has confirmed the club's intent to make moves in the January transfer window.
"We're making sure that we don't miss what might be a key signing," Pardew said, via Paul Doyle at The Guardian. "So [the chief scout] Graham Carr, Joe [Kinnear], myself and the owner [Mike Ashley] are very much on the ball for this January window."
There have not been any new transfer rumours, but with Carr's propensity to scout Ligue 1 players, one transfer suggestion could be Lorient centre forward Vincent Aboubakar.
With six goals in his last six Ligue 1 matches, he must be on Newcastle's radar.
