Real Madrid players are furious with Samuel Eto'o's criticisms of the way they played on Sunday.
The Barcelona striker said Real could not win the Liga and were struggling to keep pace with his teammates on Sunday, despite the 4-2 defeat.
"That surprised me," said Real wing-back Roberto Carlos yesterday. "I don't know why he would say that. We can win the Liga.
"Maybe he needed to say something to excuse his team from the defeat.
"We played very well and ran a lot. We didn't walk (as Eto'o claimed). We could have scored more goals. I respect Barca and the season they have had, but the truth is that on Sunday we were the better team.
"I believe Barcelona are worried. It is normal. We've beaten them and the difference in points is now smaller. I don't know if they are feeling the pressure or are nervous, but losing at the Bernabeu will concern them."
