He talked of the just-concluded presidential election as the test of democracy in Cameroon as if it was a free and fair election. He talked of peace and stability as if living in abject poverty/misery are the better alternative. He did not explain how he will fund 60 ministries; he did not explain why he has no anglophone ministers of state; he did not explain what Cameroon did with funds from the Heavily Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) program and why the IMF/World Bank HIPC program requirements were not met which could have led to a huge debt cancellation; he did not explain what battles his beti boys fought before being recently promoted to higher ranks within the armed forces; he did not explain how he could afford a boeing 767 whereas teachers were not receiving adequate compensation. He did not explain why it is that under his watch Cameroon has become the most corrupt nation on earth; and he did not explain what he wants to do that he was unable to do in 25 years. I pray that he dies in his sleep sooner than later so that Cameroonians can stop suffering.
