Former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song suffered a cringe worthy moment of embarrassment during Barcelona's title celebrations last night.
The Catalan club were awarded the La Liga crown following a 2-1 win over Valladolid. Club captain Carles Puyol collected the silverware from the podium before returning to his teammates to allow a special pair to lift the trophy.
However, Song mistakenly thought the Barcelona captain had chosen him to loft the trophy beside him and is seen practically rubbing his hands with glee as he steps forward... before realising Puyol had actually selected Eric Abidal - who has returned to the first team from a liver transplant - and Tito Vilanova - who has battled against cancer this season - to share the lifting duties.

This was Song's second celebratory faux pas after being pictured on the open bus parade apparently fighting with Gerard Pique.
