MARIO BALOTELLI 'MONKEY' TORMENT

Italian football star Mario Balotelli was subjected to a tirade of racist abuse at Euro 2012 last night and stewards thought it was funny. Around 300 Spanish fans made constant monkey chants at the Manchester City striker during the 1-1 draw with Spain.
He then continued to be booed even as he sat on the bench and watched his teammates earn a 1-1 draw with tournament favourites Spain in Gdansk, Poland.
Balotelli has already suffered sick racist abuse online, with neo-Nazis from his home country claiming he should not be playing for Italy.
Racism has dogged the competition after black Holland players received monkey chants during a training session in Krakow.Last night hooligan gangs in cars ambushed Irish fans in Poznan, Poland.

The skinheads punched and kicked the supporters who had been singing and enjoying the sunshine. Fans of Croatia, who last night played Ireland at Poznan’s City Stadium, were also set upon by the Polish thugs. Victims were knocked to the ground and booted by the thugs who then fled.

Polish soccer nuts carried out a similar ambush on English-speaking fans in Lodz. Last night Poznan police had arrested 10 Poles, three Irishmen and a Croatian.
UEFA president Michel Platini told the media that players leaving the pitch due to offensive racism chanting would be booked, and that only the referee had the authority to call a game off if such an incident takes place.
Merci de patienter...
