@Camfoot:
I'm not one to criticise journalists (not sure I could do their job) but it is a pity when they get facts all muddled up. The portraits of Martin Ndtoungou Mpile are so poorly done with gross factual errors and incomplete information. It seems like guess work. Humility and honesty require that you take them off your site; correct the errors, re-write the scripts and then post them again.
E.g Cameroon didn't win the Africa Cup in 2004 as is suggested in both articles.

In the Pierre Mbarga, Camfoot writes: "Il a aussi dirigé les équipes espoirs et des moins de 17 ans." I am not a French-speaker but my understanding of "dirige" in that context is that Mbarga was the head coach of the U-17s at some point. If so, when was that? Do you have a year? Such incomplete information, surely gnaws your credibility.

In the Ndtoungou Mpile article, your writers say he was appointed assistant head coach of the senior Lions in 2001 when Winfried Schaefer became coach. That's not exact! Schaefer's first Cameroonian assistant was Joseph Marius Omog 2001-2003. Then Mpile became deputy in 2003-2004. He was followed by some anglophone called Ndangam (until Winnie was sacked).

It is lazy journalism by your reporters because you have the correct info on your very site ! Check this story: Joseph Marius Omog ex adjoint de Schäfer : « Il faut absolument assainir l’entourage des Lions... »
Merci de patienter...
