Assou-Ekotto in the morning, Matip at night, Assou-Ekotto in the afternoon, Matip at dawn.....Aaaaaaaaaakaaa! Can we stop and focus on what we have instead of what could be? What if these guys were wounded and were not called up? Would that mean the end of Cameroon?
Today I see people writing about Bedimo, etc - who ever thought of him in the national team until the day Assou-Ekotto had to be absent due to suspension? No one is indispensable.
However, let's also stop insulting that guy and making him look he is a criminal because he asked his coach to treat him with respect and decency. I read people talking about his supposed indiscipline and lack of patriotism because he turned down a selection.
Do you remember that Patrick Mboma - yes Mboma, the great Mboma - refused to turn up for Cameroon between 1994 and 1997 because he felt slighted by his non-selection for the World Cup 1994. He was dropped after pressure on the coach to take Roger Milla, M'fede and Ndip Akem!
Do we insult Mboma today? Was he wrong or right? Even Jacques Songo'o (together with Mboma) refused to come for the Africa Nations Cup in South Africa in 1996 on the claim that the national team lacked organisation...After the catastrophic participation wasn't Songo'o made captain?
Maybe we should think and remember before we start insulting people on this forum. For heaven's sake!!
