Mais quelques jours plus tard, alors que les cadets ivoirens sont qualifiés pour les demi-finales:

Kigali, Rwanda – Rwanda has refused to grant a visa to the Minister of Sports in the government of incumbent ******* President Laurent Gbagbo to watch the Africa U-17 quarter-final match on Wednesday in Kigali between Rwanda and Cote d'Ivoire. “Rwanda has refused a visa for the ******* minister of Sports, Franck Guéi, for political reasons,” a Rwandan official said.

“As member of the African Union (AU), an organisation, which has so far not recognised the legitimacy of the government of Laurent Gbgbo, we have decided not to grant him a visa,” he added.

Pressure has been mounting on Gbagbo to hand over power to Alassane Ouattara, the man recognised by the international community to have won the controversial 28 November presidential run-off election in the West African state.
