Find the best odds and bet on La Liga. Samuel Eto'o has hinted that Inter had locker room issues following Rafa Benitez's unsuccessful spell as manager of the Italian giants. Meanwhile, Eto'o had high praise for his former coaches Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.
“When you play football, the most important thing is to win," he told Italian TV show Chiambretti Night.
"At a certain moment last season, we knew that we had to all give more. When Mourinho asked me to change my position, I tried and it went well. Mourinho’s vision of Inter was different to the others. He is number one and proved it.â€
Although several of his team-mates have publicly condemned Benitez, Eto'o insisted: “I do not agree with this way of seeing things. Up until the game with Juventus, we had played well."
Eto'o also had kind words for Pep Guardiola, his coach at Barcelona, amid rumours that personal problems between the two led to the Cameroonian's exit from the club, but was not so quick to defend Benitez.
“Pep is a great coach. We had some disputes, as happens in every side, but when I left Barcelona I had no remorse for what I did, on the field or off it. In fact, I am still in contact with Guardiola and Mourinho. With Benitez? No."
'Samu' showed his appreciation and modesty concerning his achievements, which include back-to-back treble-winning seasons with Barcelona and Inter, thanking God for gracing him with the talent and opportunity to achieve such things.
"I am richer not because of money, but because I made my dream come true. God wanted me to do this and I won a great deal. Few black children have the good fortune I’ve had in my life, but we are fighting so that many more can have these opportunities.
"My foundation and that of Didier Drogba are working towards this aim.â€
