Espanyol No1 Carlos Kameni can be signed by Manchester United next season for a knockdown £4 million.
The Cameroon international has been watched by United goalkeeping coach Tony Coton this season and is emerging as a top target for manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
While contracted to Espanyol until 2007, Kameni can speak with rival clubs if they meet his £4 million buyout clause - well within United's budget.
Kameni insists he isn't interested in leaving Espanyol, where he is regarded as a hero by fans after making an amazing three penalty saves already this season.
"I am no hero. On the pitch we are eleven players and credit is due everyone for our high placing on the table, not just me," insisted Kameni yesterday.
