A former Cobb County Department of Driver Services worker and another man has been sentenced to federal prison for handing out fake drivers license in exchange for money. Gbemisola Wellington-Salako, 36 of Marietta to 15 months in prison. Jules Armand Che Siewe Achou a native of Cameroon will also face deportation after his sentence.
Prosecutor's say the two agreed to work together to provide driver's License to people who were willing to pay up to $2500 dollars for them starting in 2007. Three other men have pled guilty to helping Achou find other customers. Two of the men were sentenced to 8 months and the other was sentenced to 1 year in prison. Witnesses say they were aware that this was going on and did not feel it was ok to do. The License were fake and could only be shown to an officer, if he ran the License it would not have show up as a legitimate document and the person in possession would probably be arrested anyway.
