Real Madrid wrap up deal for Eto'o
tribalfootball.com - July 29, 2004
Real Madrid have completed the outright signing of striker Sammy Eto'o.
The Cameroon international is now a Real player after Mallorca's 50 per cent of his registration was bought by the Madrid giants.
Eto'o has already held talks with Real president Florentino Perez about his future, as he does not want to leave again on-loan.
Perez is keen to send Eto'o back to Mallorca for a season until Roberto Carlos gains his Spanish passport.
Either way, Eto'o will not be joining Barcelona, despite the player's ambition. Real have priced Eto'o at £20 million - which is too rich for Barca's current transfer budget.
