@JK
I appreciate your suggestion to bring Mboma back. If Milla did it in 1990 at nearly 40, why not Mboma today at nearly the same age, right ? Even though I respect your love for the national team and the game of soccer, I must ask you to be more realistic. We've found a way in Cameroon to make the exception the rule. We think that miracles should be expected in any situation, thus we act as if we were above all human laws. Yes Romario and Ronaldo have been fantastic for Brazil but you have to consider that the squad was pretty much complete and just needed that last piece to the puzzle. If our only problem at the national team was just the lack of a proven center-forward, then we wouldn't have had as much trouble as in these past months. It goes deeper than that. You've read most of the comments here. We lack true wingers, a real playmaker and a convenient gameplan. This is an equation with multiple unknowns and I don't see how Mboma, who has been away for so long from the soccer fields, can solve that.
I must agree with my brother Zutera that Paul Le Guen has been mending the team compartment after compartment. However time is against us, we should be swifter. To finish, I'm simply going to say that this world cup should be used to build up a new generation, a more relentless, disciplined and successful one, just like in 98.
Best regards !
