Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed Sammy Eto'o is desperate to move to the Nou Camp.
The Cameroon international's registration is shared between employers Real Mallorca and Barca's arch rivals, Real Madrid, which has "complicated" the transfer, admitted Laporta yesterday.
The Barca supremo revealed: "There are two clubs which must decide the player's future - Mallorca and Real Madrid. But the Cameroonian has told me if he cannot play for Barca, then he will stay with Mallorca and not play for anyone else.
"We are very satisfied because he is one of many great players we have spoken to who all want to play for Barca. People are recognising the great things we're doing here and want to be involved."
He added, "If not for the contract situation, I am certain Eto'o would now be a player of Barcelona."
