Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants to re-sign Sammy Eto'o from Real Mallorca.
Currently the two clubs share the Cameroon international's registration, 50-50. Perez now wants to buy out Mallorca's percentage so that Real own Eto'o outright.
The Real supremo is concerned over reports that Barcelona and Deportivo La Coruna are speaking with Eto'o and is desperate to keep him away from their title rivals.
Instead, the plan is for Real to buy Eto'o and immediately loan him to Atletico Madrid for the new season, with clauses that stop him from playing against them in all competitive games.
