Limbe to celebrate 150th anniversary in December

The Cameroonian coastal town of Limbe (south-west) will celebrate its 150th anniversary in early December, APA learns from an official source. According to political and traditional authorities, cultural and sport celebrations will be organized during this anniversary to be hosted by the Anglophone region. Limbe, formerly known as Victoria and located on the southern flank of Mount Cameroon, was founded in 1859 by British missionary Alfred Saker, who erected many churches still detectable. Limbe and Kribi (south) are one of the most popular resorts in the country. Among its attractions, and apart the black sand beaches, you can find Limbe Wildlife Centre and the Limbe Botanical Gardens, with several species of animals, plants and vegetables among the rarest and the oldest in the world. A factory of the National Refining Company (SONARA) has been also erected in Limbe which is also a port city.
Merci de patienter...
