Roger Milla, who played an exhibition match in Kolkata for Diamond Club against Bagan in July 1990, is eager on renewing his Kolkata connection.
The Former Cameroonian international, who took the football fraternity by storm during the 1990 world cup, has shown interest in associating himself with the Indian league side Chirag United SC. In an email to the club management, Milla has offered to introduce "some very talented foreign players" to the side so that it can mark in the upcoming season. The club has jump to the opportunity asking him to send "CVs for a few new players".
"Presently I work as a Fifa executive member as well as a Player's agent. I will be a pleasure to work with a respected club by introducing to you some very young talented foreign players to help your club in the upcoming season", Milla wrote in the email. Club officials are elated. "it's very surprising, and at the same time a great honor that someone like Milla has shown interest in our club", the club's football secretary Nabad Bhattacharya told the Time of India.
