Barcelona president Joan Laporta has denied reports that any of his players will join Real Madrid this summer, stating there "will not be a case like Luis Figo's again".
The Portuguese midfielder was one of the most high-profile players to move from Barca to Madrid earlier in the century and the transfer sparked outrage from the Catalan fans.
Speaking about the situation this summer, Laporta told RAC1 that there is no need for Barcelona to worry about losing their star names to their arch-rivals.
"I can tell the members to keep calm, because these players are contracted, and the club have paid them their true worth," he stated.
With regards to the future of Barcelona in the transfer market, Laporta says that "after a great season, a new desire is needed so that the intensity and hunger for titles does not drop".
He did however refuse to speak about the future of Samuel Eto'o, simply praising the Cameroonian striker.
"We know what plans Eto'o has, everyone wants the big clubs in Europe. We will see how the plans go, and what will happen. For me, he is the best centre-forward in the world," he concluded.
