Real Madrid sports director Jorge Valdano is adamant that Chelsea-target Geremi will not be sold for less than the club’s asking price. « There is no way he’s going to leave for under £7 million, » he told onefootball.com
The London club are understood to only be prepared to pay £6 million, having refused to splash out the £8.5 million Real demanded last July.
Liga champions Valencia are also reported to be in the running for the 23-year-old.
« There is no way he’s going to leave for less than £7 million, » Valdano told onefootball.com. « We haven’t officially received an offer for Geremi. We’ve just had a few calls enquiring about his situation. »
The Cameroon defender claimed that he is the dark about a move from the Bernabeu. « All I know is what has been published in the press. Nobody has said anything to me, not even my agent.
