CHELSEA target Samuel Eto’o says he is desperate to join Roman Abramovich’s Stamford Bridge revolution. SunSport exclusively revealed yesterday the Londoners have bid £15million for Real Mallorca’s Cameroon striker.
Chelski will be a dream move — as soon as a deal can be thrashed out.
He insisted: “The Premiership is tailor-made for me because it is so quick and very attacking.
“I’ve heard the best thing about Chelsea are the fans — and I’d have them in my pocket after two games.
“The Champions League is also attractive. It’s a tournament not every footballer can play in.
“I’m capable of doing a job at Chelsea — or at any team in the world. I’ve spent a long time proving that, especially last season — which was one of the best of my career.
“Very few players give their all on the pitch like I do. I give it everything and always fight to the best of my ability for my team.”
The striker hit 19 goals in 36 games for Mallorca last season — including two in the 3-0 Spanish Cup final win over Recreativo after being flown back from France in between the Confederations Cup semi-final and final.
Chelsea face some hard bargaining with hard-up Mallorca because half of any transfer fee must go to the player’s former club Real Madrid under a sell-on clause.
But Eto’o added: “If Mallorca don’t transfer me now, I don’t know when they will.
“The way I’ve been playing, they can do a good deal.”
Meanwhile, Brazilian star Emerson’s agent Gilmar Veloz flew into London last night to discuss amazing personal terms offered by Chelsea.
Abramovich wants to pay the midfielder £21m over six years.
But Emerson’s club, Roma, insist they still have not given Chelsea permission to talk to their star after snubbing a £15m offer.
Emerson still has two years left on his contract in Italy and Roma’s sporting director Franco Baldini rapped: “It seems that Chelsea are continuing to go to the player directly despite our warnings.
“I understand Emerson’s agent is in London right now but nothing can happen without Roma’s say-so.
“Even if Emerson says he wants to move, that does not mean we are going to let him.”
