MIDDLESBROUGH manager Steve McClaren has said that it is too early to make a decision on whether to buy on loan star Geremi.
The Cameroonian international has been in wonderful form for Boro since his move to The Riverside from Real Madrid.
Geremi has enjoyed his midfield role since arriving in the North East and he has become a firm favourite with the Teesside faithful.
« A year before, I enquired about Geremi and tried to buy him, but the price was too much and he was going to Chelsea on loan. » said McClaren.
« But we had the opportunity to bring him in this season and he’s been an asset to us. »
Boro have secured first option on the player, but McClaren is in no hurry to push through a permanent at this stage.
« We have first option to buy him, » said McClaren.
« It’s too early to say one way or the other what will happen, but we’re very pleased with him. »
