Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto’o has arrived in Kenya for the Laikipia Unity and Beyond Cup.
The four time African Player of the Year was accompanied by Zeitz Foundation Founder and Puma CEO Jochen Zeitz.
Speaking at the airport after his arrival, the Cameroonian expressed his excitement ahead of the finals that will be held at Nanyuki Stadium on Wednesday.
“This is my second time to be in Kenya. It feels like home and I would like love to settle in Mombasa one day."
He also revealed that he constantly talks to his former Inter Milan teammate MacDonald Mariga who is currently sidelined with injury.
“I talk to Mariga often and keep in touch with him. We have been friends since he joined the club."
On whether he will end his career in England. The former Barcelona forward was diplomatic on the issue.
“I would like to stay in London but that question can’t be answered in such a forum since it’s not the right place."
The finals which are a culmination of matches that attracted various clubs in the region will be graced by a final between Mathare United and Laikipia United. He will feature in one of the teams
