@JOHN BARRICK

Là tu m'as "tuer"...comme l'autre Omar. Non! Sans blague je te respecte. lapsus calami! Kenitra! Je pensais que j'y étais le seul étudiant. Tiens, frère, cet extrait de mon bouquin. Il te rappellera bien des choses:

"In Kinshasa, the Indomitable Lions topped Siampassi and his teammates by 1-0 and won the second leg in Yaoundé by 6-1 with Roger Milla scoring four goals. After this first major win over Zaire, Cameroon gained more assurance. Next, the Indomitable Lions clashed with the Atlas Lions of Morocco away in their Kenitra den and came out on top, following two goals from Kunde and Jean-Pierre Tokoto. At home in Yaoundé, in front of a record 100,000 in attendance at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, including President Ahmadou Ahidjo himself, the Indomitable Lions handed Morocco a 2-1 defeat on November 30. While their performance was far from dazzling, they made history. Indeed, for the first time ever, Cameroon qualified for the World Cup Finals".

C'était l'époque glorieuse des Lions indomptables.

Encore un peu:

Tu te souviens du Plan Tonye Mbog qui a redressé le football camerounais? Lis ça. La crise n'était pas très loin de ce que nous vivons aujourd'hui:

"Tonye Mbog’s four year plan called for the organizational structures to be put in place during year I followed in year II by a systematic search for young talents capable of taking over from the ageing players, and a dissemination of a work plan and methodology put together jointly by the national technical director, the provincial coaches, and the various clubs. The plan also included a definition of the overall technical strategy to be implemented at all levels with a particular emphasis be put on organization and structures at club level. Year III called for all the players identified to undergo intensive coaching in camp for future international competitions and in Year IV, the Indomitable Lions would resume international competition.

In accordance with the provisions of this plan, the national football authorities decided not to field any Cameroonian club in international competitions during the 1973-1974 season. It was deemed more effective to continue the overhaul of Cameroonian football behind closed doors".

Mais on ne peut plus aller à de tels extrêmes!
Merci de patienter...
