Foe looks to tied up City Friendship (Football365)

Cameroon midfielder Marc-Vivien Foe is looking to seal a permanent move to Manchester City. Foe, on a season-long loan deal from Lyon, scored his first goal for the club in the 2-0 victory against Sunderland on Monday.

The 27-year-old feels he is beginning to bed in at Maine Road. « I am really enjoying my time here, » he told Manchester City’s official website.

« I am happy and I feel settled and I would like to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

« The best way I can ensure that is by continuing to play as well as I can.

« I admit that City fans have not yet seen the best of me on a consistent basis but I feel I am improving in that respect.

« It is not always easy coming to a new club in a new country especially when international call-ups and suspension have sometimes disrupted things.

« But it was a nice feeling to get off the mark in a game that was important to win.

« With Kevin Horlock in the side on Monday it allowed me to go forward a little bit more and get myself into scoring positions.

« It is always more important that we win the game than that one player scores lots of goals.

« I really should have had one or two more this season by now but I am feeling in good shape. »

City have now won five of their last seven games and feel ready to push for a place in Europe.

Foe said: « We have all had to get to know one another and I think people can see that things are coming together quite well at the moment. We did the job professionally at Sunderland. »

He added: « My main aim is to help Manchester City finish as high up the table as possible and to help the club keep on improving. »
